hello. After working through my addictions of nearly 15yrs, i started to work at the centre were i was helped. after six years employed with them helping addicts who came to the hostel, to get free from there problems and after a period of time they would leave the hostel with skills they have learned while being with us they can take back to there lives in society and be able to have confidence to hold there heads high.
i believe there should be more homes and rehabs in greater Manchester which should be available for people with addictions and people there to help them 24hrs a day.
the people who come to the home should feel as there part of a family. my wife and myself was able to do this with other staff coming in on a daily basis.
the only way to have people freed from addictions is to share our love with them. |

Please I need some advice.
helping out a friend who has been a heroin addict for about 10 years.
Has been to several detox/rehab programs/ has been clean for 3 years then relapsed.
Methadone treatments several times, family prefers no methadone, rather medical detox, or something drug/ free.
What advice do you have for most effective rehabilitation programs.
Do you Know of the efficacy of biophysical programmes?
What might be good ones?
A drug called naltrexone has been recommended to him.. What do you think about that?
I would really appreciate any help, names of clinics..etc!

There is a new rehabilitation Clinic in Baja California (nearby San Diego) that helps addicts eliminate the very psychological addiction in such a way that the very cravings are gone. People become free of their addiction and receive 2 types of blockades: psychological and pharmacological. |

hello ray . well its been 15days and counting.still going through the process .and can honestly say its hard work .and thankfull i have a loving surpportive family .will be attending my first meeting this monday.thanks again for yr feed back .it helps alot.. will keep in touch.tt4n ..andrea |
