Drug and Alcohol Detox and Rehab Clinic in Bedfordshire

Quasi-residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment.

Drug and Alcohol Detox & Rehab Clinic in Bedfordshire

This South East rehab clinic incorporates the best of abstinence methods to treat drug and alcohol dependence. The addictions programme has a 12 step structure which is delivered in four stages.

Clients stay in sober living houses away from the day treatment centre. This gives them freedom to live in the real world during treatment together with the support they need to learn to live a life free of substance abuse.

The drug and alcohol programme

Rehabilitation typically lasts 12 weeks. Programmes are tailored to client’s needs.

Stage 1 is assessment and detoxification under the care of a focal counsellor. During this time, clients are "buddied” up with former clients in recovery for additional support.

Stage 2 is an intensive period of treatment, using the 12 step approach. This stage includes one-to-one counselling, group work, psychotherapy, anger management, nutritional guidance, family sessions and relapse prevention workshops.

Stage 3 is along the same lines as stage 3 but focuses more on reality and relapse prevention.

Stage 4 is a structured drug and alcohol aftercare package.

There are five single-sex living houses which are close to the day care centre. A team of counsellors are available 24 hours a day to help clients cope with living in this sober community.
