Our rough sleeper enablement program provides a range of services for individuals who are experiencing rough sleeping in the Borough of Sefton. Referrals are made to the program via the mainstay gate way system. An enablement worker will receive a referral and make arrangements to meet with the individual at one of our ïhubsÍ across the Borough. Here, an individualÍs immediate needs in term of dignity will be met with facilities for a meal, clothes, washing and showers. The enablement worker will make arrangements where possible, for an individual to be accommodated at any of SeftonÍs sit-up spaces located in Bootle (10) and Southport (5). These will be secured on a priority basis. Individuals must agree to work with the enablement worker to develop a person centred plan, addressing the circumstances which have led to rough-sleeping and to find appropriate pathways to independence. Opportunities to explore accommodation in the private sector will be offered, along with support to secure further training. The enablement worker can be contacted through the housing centre on 01704 501256 or 079187 46042.
