CMHT

Our community mental health teams aim to provide a specialist assessment of health and social care needs, recovery based care planning as well as diagnosis, treatment and support for service users who live in north Trafford and have mental health difficulties. We provide support for their carers and families. Our team consist of consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, managers and Support Time and Recovery workers (STRs). The teams are recovery focussed and help to sustain independent living for people within their own living environments. When this is not possible the teams will work with partner agencies, service users and their carers to ensure that the most appropriate and least restrictive environment is sought which is assessed to safely meet the needs of the person.
