Right Tracks in Kings Lynn officially opened on the 16th July 2012. It provides supported accommodation to 12 young homeless people aged 16 to 25. The Benjamin Foundation work in partnership with Saffron Housing, the Borough Council of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk, Norfolk County Council and the Housing and Communities Agency to deliver the service. 12 residents each have their own flat at Right Tracks which comes complete with a fully furnished bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge. The flats are designed to give the residents more responsibility than a room, so they can gain valuable skills in the day-to-day running of a flat. This will give them the experience needed for independent living. Each resident can stay at Right Tracks for up to two years when they will be ready to live on their own. As well as their own flat, residents have the use of a communal lounge/kitchen where they can socialise with other residents and staff. Our staff work with the residents to support them with their education, finding jobs and to build their general life skills in things like cooking and budgeting. Our aim is that when these young people leave us they are more confident and independent.
